Studio Policy
Missed Lessons
~ When you register for lessons, you are committing to a guaranteed spot in the studio. If you are unable to attend a lesson, that spot cannot be filled. Please consider the commitment to lessons.
~ A maximum of 2 rescheduled (make-up) lessons will be accepted per student per academic year.
~ A make-up lesson cancelled by the student will not be rescheduled.
~ There are three weeks in the year to accommodate make-up lessons as needed.
~ Alternatives to accommodate scheduling conflicts with lessons are online lessons or asynchronous lessons in place of an in-person lesson. Alternatively, families can switch lesson times for the affected week. Please see the studio schedule below.
~ Lessons that fall on a statutory holiday are not part of the tuition or lesson schedule.
~ Any lesson the teacher cancels will be made up, or refunded/credited if they are unable to make up the lesson.

Online Lessons
~ Online Lessons are available via Zoom. This is a great alternative to accommodate in-person lesson conflicts or poor weather conditions when travel is not advised.
~ Students will log on 5 to 10 minutes prior to their assigned lesson time and wait in the "waiting room" to be admitted.
~ For younger students, parent involvement is highly recommended in order to log on, set up device(s), and assist during the lesson when needed.
~ In the case where connection is poor and a successful lesson is not possible, that particular lesson will be rescheduled.
~ The same "missed lessons" policy applies for online lessons.

Health and Safety
New protocol for in person lessons to ensure health and safety of everyone:
~ Mask wearing is optional. Please bring your own mask. Disposable masks will be available at the front entrance if needed.
~ Students and parents will use hand sanitizer (provided at the front entrance) upon entering the studio. Alternatively, students may wash their hands in the washroom located by the front entrance.
~ If students or anyone in their family have any cold/flu symptoms, please do not attend the in person lesson. Rather we can have that week’s lesson online and resume to in person lessons after symptoms have subsided.
~ If students arrive with any cold/flu symptoms, the lesson will be cancelled and forfeited.

Studio Schedule
In the case that there is a scheduling conflict and you are unable to attend your regular lesson time, please review the studio schedule to see which student/family you may be able to switch with that particular week to ease the hassle of rescheduling. In the case of unforeseen scheduling conflicts, the instructor will do their best to accommodate everyone's needs.
